Spokane County Interstate Fair 2018
Spokane County Interstate Fair is a ten-day event beginning the Friday after Labor Day each year. There are arts and crafts, food preservation, livestock, horticulture, floriculture and photography. We have a family visit there since our grandson loves to see the farm animals and he can get on a few rides at the fun fair.
What a 2 year old do at the fair
It takes us a short 10 minutes drive from our house to the fair. We meet the family at the parking lot before buying our tickets at the booth. Our first stop is to the livestock area. Here’s what a 2 year old do at the fair: he doesn’t know what to do with the horses but he wants to see ALL the goats and pat them. We went from one pen to another and there are many breeds of goats, some I’ve never seen before. We also watch a man shears a sheep within minutes; that’s how fast he is.
There are other farm animals and exotic ones like llamas, camels and zebu (miniature cattle originated from India and Africa). We bought some animal feed for the boys to feed the pigs and chicken.
Lunch at the outdoor food court
After nearly 2 hours inside the farm, it is time to take a break and have our lunch at the outdoor food court. Ryan orders a large sized pizza for everyone. We sit and just people watch for a while.
The Spokane County Interstate Fun Fair
The Spokane County Interstate fun fair has many games and rides for children and adults. Kiel, our grandson is eyeing the carousel ride because he sees a horse. He barely makes it for the minimum height limit! Phew! Mommy goes with him and he has a few fun rides on the horse.
There are many activities at the fun fair but we are ready to leave because a 2 year old can only enjoy so much. It has been a fun day out with the family and we are happy we get to enjoy Kiel. Map below shows the location of Spokane County Interstate Fair. Click this LINK to their website.
