We volunteered at the Kechara Soup Kitchen in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to feed the homeless community. The night exercise gave us an insight to the food and medical aid programs, distributing centers and how active volunteerism in Malaysia is. This is the first time I become fully aware of homelessness issue in Malaysia.
The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park’s website promised us the largest butterfly garden in the world with over 5000 live butterflies, exotic plants, flowers, and ferns. We visited this park in anticipation of a great time. Unfortunately it was a huge disappointment and a waste of time. Read more and find out why we said this.
Batu Caves, located in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia is a limestone hill that has a series of caves with Hindu temples in them. It is popular with thousands of Hindu worshippers and tourists alike. I have been raving to Shane about the wild monkeys there and was excited to show him the culture and wildlife.
