Shane and I are fortunate to celebrate many festivals in Malaysia as a part of a multicultural families. We celebrated my sister Helen family’s Diwali, an important Indian holiday for the Hindus with scrumptious Indian food cooked by Pati. She is an amazing cook and every dish was made more flavorful and authentic when served on banana leaves.

When your baby sister (no matter how old she gets) bought a new house and wishes for a yoga deck as a house gift, big brother drove 8 hours to make it happen! We spent 7 days working on the decks and it was a great feeling to see how happy Maureen looked on the final reveal. The yoga decks are under the the blue spruce overlooking the creek.

Our family has a beautiful wedding at Hoh Rainforest in the Olympic Peninsula. Ryan fell in love with this place when Shane brought him and his friends over here on a college spring break. He has visited this rainforest every chance he got and brought Kasandra along. We found a beautiful spot and Kasandra’s mom officiated their nuptial.

She starts her birthday by getting up early in the morning, going shopping with her mom and I and picks her own present. Afterwards she helps bake her birthday cake and gets to choose where to go and eat for dinner.

I have Shane here who has never seen coconut trees except when he was in Hawaii and my sister’s kids who are city kids. Naza World with kids is a great activity idea for a fun weekend with family. This automobile showroom has a great collection of sports cars and motorcycles. It’s car enthusiasts’ paradise. We have so much fun exploring the vehicles. Sales executives at Naza World Automall are very professional and friendly. An excursion kids still talk about everyday.
