View moreA trip to Swiss Garden Resort Kuantan, Pahang gave us a once in a lifetime fishing experience with the local fishermen. They were amazing hardworking people and the community spirit in still prevalent amongst villagers. We ate giant freshly caught prawns cooked for us by one of the men. A wonderful experience we want to repeat one day.
View moreCurious after seeing gilded roofs of a Chinese temple every time we drove by over the bridge, we found this temple after Google search interesting places to visit in Klang. It turned out this 130 year old temple is just a 5 minutes drive from our rented house! This amazing discovery has us in awe over the designs and architecture.
View moreA day trip to Pulau Ketam or Crab Island in English. We took a ferry ride and explore the island on an electric motorbike. Wooden houses are perched on wooden stilts. It is nerve wrecking for me but fun for Shane when we ride through concrete pavements and old rickety wooden plank bridges. Unique sights mixed with the occasional stench.

View moreThe Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park’s website promised us the largest butterfly garden in the world with over 5000 live butterflies, exotic plants, flowers, and ferns. View moreBatu Caves, located in Gombak, Selangor, Malaysia is a limestone hill that has a series of caves with Hindu temples in them. It is popular with thousands of Hindu worshippers and tourists alike. I have been raving to Shane about the wild monkeys there and was excited to show him the culture and wildlife.
